I’ve got an important announcement concerning this weekend’s episode of 333 TV in Grand Rapids and Southwest Michigan. It seems we had a little mishap with whatever that machine is that handles the “bleeping” in the editing room. I don’t know if it even has an actual name, so for the sake of this announcement I’ll just call it the “Bleeping Machine”. In a nutshell our bleeping machine somehow got bleeped up. I don’t know what happened but the bleeped thing just took a bleep and it did so at the worst bleeping time possible. I mean, I almost bleeped myself when I heard about it. I’m sure this may come as a surprise to some of you, but during the heat of competition some of our tournament teams have been known to let a few choice expletives slip out here and there. I know…. it’s a bleeping shame, but hey – it happens! Anyway, somehow the un-bleeped version of the show was sent off to our Grand Rapids station. They promptly gave me a call and politely said, “What the bleep? We can’t bleeping air this!” OK, I’m embellishing that. There weren’t any bleeps in our actual conversation. At least not from them…

However, the rest of it is true and unfortunately, due to a rather obvious lack of bleeps, this weekend’s episode of 333 TV will be preempted. I know… it really bleeping sucks, but don’t worry. We called in a full team of bleeping professionals and they have fixed the bleeping machine. A fully bleeped version of the show is being sent out to the station and though it will not be there in time to air this weekend, they have graciously agreed to run it next week, back to back with the regularly scheduled episode! That means in GR, next weekend you’ll get to see a full hour of 333 TV featuring both the Salmon Splash and the Monster Mania! Bleeping awesome! The first episode will start Sunday morning at 11:30 and the second will follow at noon.

I do want to thank our SW Michigan ABC affiliate WOTV for catching our bleeping mistake and for making the time available to run the extra episode next week.

As for everyone in Northern Michigan – you will be unaffected by this whole fiasco. (lucky bleeps) We were able to get a fully bleeped version to those stations in time for Saturday’s airing at noon.

One other thing…. If you do happen to be a fan of four-letter words, for a very limited time you can catch the un-bleeped version of the Salmon Splash episode online… (we are sooooo naughty…) But if you do want to see it, you need to hurry the bleep up because that’s going to be replaced soon as well.

Thanks for taking to the time to read this bleeping announcement.

3 Minutes and 33 Seconds of 333 TV

It’s been a long time coming and now it’s finally here! We’ve got your first look at the all new season of 333 TV.

We’ve been in the studio for about a month straight editing the shows and I gotta tell ya – they look fantastic! Special thanks to each and every one of our featured teams! They all worked hard to make the show a success and we couldn’t have done it without them.

I’ve also got to give a nod to 333 TV’s lead camera man and sole editor, Chase Maser. Without his creativity, vision and technical skills the show would be…well, I don’t even want to think about what it would be. I’ll just focus on what it is, and that’s infinitely improved over season 1, committed for season 3 and a helluva lot of fun to watch!

Check back here for more updates as they become available including broadcast times, station information and even a way that you can catch full episodes before they air!

So without further ado…. click on the link below to check out the new trailer, and one word of advice….
Crank It UP!!!

We’re looking for all kinds of shots – on the water, at the scales, hangin’ out at the Captain’s Meeting or Awards, guys teams, ladies teams, kids with fish, etc. In fact, don’t even worry about the subject matter – if you think its a good shot send it along and we’ll see what happens! It would also be helpful if you include the names of anyone in the shot and even a little caption describing what the shot is about. Digital photos work best and the higher resolution the better. I can take actual photos via snail mail, but I can’t guarantee you’ll get them back… sorry!

For digital photos you can email them to: pics@tournamenttrail.net
Remember, the bigger (higher resolution) the better. Don’t worry about file size, just send it along.

Actual Photos can be sent to:

Special thanks this year to Mercury, Starcraft and Trailmaster for adding a “boat-load” of excitement to the TT Season in 2011. For the first time ever we had 3 boat packages to giveaway in the 333! Each package came complete with a 15hp Mercury Motor mounted on a 14′ Starcraft boat. To top it off (or more accurately “bottom” it off) we put ‘em both on top of a Trailmaster Trailer. Teams were given free entries to win these boat packages each time they entered the 333. Our last drawing was held in Bay Harbor and the winner was Captain Jason Schroeder of Team Dirtbag. (no…that’s not Jason in the picture, and no… she did not come with the boat) Jason got his entry in Traverse City at the Big Jon Salmon Classic. I had the pleasure of speaking to Jason on the phone shortly after his name was drawn and I enjoyed the numerous failed attempts at convincing him that he actually did win and this wasn’t some type of cruel joke being played on him. I don’t think he actually believed he won until the boat itself showed up in his driveway! See, Jason, I told you you could trust me!

Congrats to all 3 of our 3-Boat-Giveaway Winners!

Congratulations to Team Hammbone for their first-ever 333 Best Overall Title! They did it in convincing style too! A big 333 win at the Benzie Frenzy in Frankfort gave them a cumulative score of 313.60 points. The score is even more impressive when you factor in that the most possible points any team could score this season was 320! It was a “go big or go home” strategy for the new champs as they dove head-long into some of the biggest and most competitive events on the trail. In addition to their win in Frankfort Hammbone also posted a top 3 at the Offshore Classic in Ludington. They topped it off with a top 4 at Manistee’s Budweiser to complete a near-perfect score. In the end it was just enough to take the title from Break Time whose spent nearly two months at the top of the leaderboard. Break Time’s final score was 311.20 and included a 333 win at the trail’s 2nd biggest event – the Grand Haven Offshore Challenge. The top 3 was rounded out by It’s Me. After a rough start in Grand Haven It’s Me put together a top 5 in Ludington and a 2nd at the Salmon Splash in Manistee. It was the first time for all 3 of these teams to find themselves sitting atop the final standings! Congratulations to all of them for putting together such spectacular seasons!

Not only do they get considerable bragging rights, they also get considerable cash thanks to Jeff’s Jackpot. This $10,000 purse was put into play courtesy of Lexington Homes with help from Onekama Marine and Rampage Yachts. Hammbone scored the top prize of $3,333.00 while Break Time and It’s Me took home $2,333.00 and $1,333.00 respectively. The rest of the top 12 each got $333.00.
