CHANGES
TO BEST OVERALL IN 2010:
NORTH & SOUTH
DIVISIONS RETURN - PRO & AM DIVISION REMAIN
The 333 Championship Series Best Overall will be divided into 4
division for 2010. Those divisions are North Pro / North Am /
South Pro / South Am. The division breakdown is listed at
left. Notice there are 4 swing tournaments in 2010. 333
scores from these events can be applied to either division. 4
divisions mean 4 champions! EACH DIVISION WINNER WILL BE
FEATURED IN THE 2011 TOURNAMENT TRAIL MAGAZINE. Your Pro/Am
status will be determined by the first host event you enter.
If your first event is not a Pro/Am you will be asked to declare
Pro/Am Status. Best Overall Pro/Am status is subject to the
Pro Teams Defined Rule in the Tournament Trail General Rules.
BEST OVERALL ADDITIONAL
ENTRY FEE ELIMINATED
All new in 2010 - Best Overall Entry will be free for all teams.
Whenever you sign up for 333 you will be automatically entered into
the corresponding Best Overall Division as well. If you are
entering a Swing Division Tournament you will be asked to declare
which division (North or South) you will be competing in.
SCOTTY MAC'S BRILLIANT
BONUS POINTS FROM 2009 HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED
Yes, it's true. My bonus point structure has been scraped in
favor of the original Best Overall Scoring formula. 100 points
for first, 99 for 2nd, 98 for third, etc. Tie breakers go back
to individual scores and then the PAAW or "Points Above
Average Weight". (I'll spare you the mathematical details -
just ask if you want more info.)
BEST OVERALL - IT'S AS EASY
AS 1 - 2 - 3... (and sometimes 4)
Teams will still need 3 scores to establish their Best Overall
Cumulative Score, however in 2010 the maximum amount of tournaments
a team can use to obtain their score will be 4. This rule
further levels the playing field and gives more teams a realistic
opportunity to compete. If you elect to use a 4th score you
will have to declare that at time of registration. The new score
will replace your lowest established score whether it is better or
worse. PLEASE NOTE: If you fish more than (4) 333's you will
need to declare which events you do NOT want to count toward your
overall score at time of registration. If you do not specify
your score will be counted. |
